I am a pigeon with a broken wing. I treasure my life. I have dreams as many as countless flowers. I fly ahead with my broken wing to paint the rainbow of my life.

About the artist
Liu Tung Miu was born in Beijing in 1974. She has been suffering from cerebral palsy due to the insufficient of oxygen during birth. Liu has created over a thousand pieces of artworks since her 14. Her first solo: ‘Life and Rainbow’ was held in Hong Kong in 1997 and she published her personal anthology in 1998. She was invited to participate in the VSA Art & Soul International Festival in 1999 with her works exhibited in Osaka, Japan and Los Angeles, USA. Her solo exhibitions: ‘Breakthrough’ was also held in the same year. She won the first runner-up of The 5th International VSA Arts Festival Poster Design (Prague) in 2000. Furthermore, she received the Outstanding Award for the Disabled Person in 2002, and was selected in the Ten Outstanding Young Persons Selection in 2005. Also, she was awards the Medal of Honour (MH) by HKSAR government in 2007.
