Connecting with Remote Workers Workshop

Have you ever considered employing new tools for getting your message across and to connect with colleagues? This workshop will introduce you to a range of exciting online tools to enhance your work. You will hear about the Colleagues Connect project and explore how to use web 2.0 technologies including Yammer, Vimeo, YouTube and Skype.

  • When: 9am - 1pm, 14 June, 2012
  • Where: CAE Room B443, 253 Flinders Lane, Melbourne
  • Cost: $242 inclusive of GST

Target: People with an interest in using technologies to enhance their work.

Workshop Content

The workshop will explore how to use a variety of tools including:

  • Tools for video sharing (YouTube and Vimeo)
  • Tools for communication (Skype and Viber)
  • Tools for group work  (Google Docs)
  • Tools for social networking (Yammer, Google Plus and facebook)

The workshop will also provide a sector-specific illustration of how new tools can  used in community sector organisations, with reference to the Colleagues Connect Project. Participants will recive a copy of the Colleagues Connect CD-Rom resource.
