Nationally recognised qualifications  

There are a large number of nationally recognised qualifications that would be useful for staff working in the disability sector. The qualifications listed below are the most recent available.

However there are also a large number of older qualifications that would also provide staff with sound theoretical and practical understanding of the issues involved in providing support for people with a disability. You will need to assess the relevance of these older qualifications on a case by cases basis.
