Testimonials

At Field we are confident and proud of what we do but rather then blow our own trumpet, we think it is vital that others share their experiences of working closely with us. After all, what we have done and continue to do for others is what we can offer you. We are only happy when our partners across the sector are happy that we have met their needs.

"Country Care is a regional based employer providing a range of support services to people with a disability, predominantly in their own home. Field, the training division of Independence Australia conducts a dual Certificate III in Aged Care and Home & Community Care, and the Certificate IV in Disability training program for our in-home support workers within our region. They have also established a funding partnership through which those staff ineligible for VTG subsidies, are able to complete nationally accredited training with financial sponsorship. The trainers who deliver the accredited units are highly experienced in the Disability and Aged Care services industry. They are knowledgeable, approachable and have been more than willing to conduct classes in several towns in the Goulburn/Ovens Murray region. We look forward to continuing to work closely with Field in further developing our staff to provide high quality, person-centred practices to people with a disability in our local area."

"I returned to disability support work in 2012, after having worked in the disability advocacy sector for 13 years. I'm motivated by community development principles, and have a strong commitment to self advocacy and self determination. Along with tertiary qualifications in Community Development and Welfare, I completed accredited training in Aged Care, Disability and Home & Community Care with Field.

I approach support work in the disability sector as a profession and strive to consistently provide high-quality, client-directed support to people with disability. My commitment led me to apply for the role of Lead Support Worker, assuming responsibility for teams of workers supporting a number of clients in a common local area. In addition, I also completed my Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with Field, and now work as a casual trainer on a regular basis, mentoring new support workers in best practice and ensuring that the quality of support enjoyed by clients with disability is of the highest quality."
